Additional research has found that combining magnesium with other types of exercise, such as low-resistance activities like Taekwondo, increases testosterone levels.
How Magnesium Helps Erectile Dysfunction
One study looked into the relationship between low magnesium levels and premature ejaculation. The results were inconclusive, but they sparked a larger-scale discussion about the potential of magnesium as a treatment for ED in many online medical communities.
Magnesium is also required for blood pressure regulation and the maintenance of healthy veins and arteries, implying a role in ED resolution.
Under normal conditions, magnesium relaxes blood vessels. Low magnesium levels can cause constriction of blood vessels and high blood pressure. Furthermore, low magnesium levels may prevent the penile vein from fully relaxing, resulting in erectile dysfunction.
