Can fish make my penis bigger?
Eating more fish could increase your sex drive and improve your sex life, according to science, but fish can't make your penis bigger.
Harvard University researchers interviewed 501 infertile couples and asked them to track their seafood consumption, dietary habits, and sexual activity. They tracked the couples for a year, or until one of them became pregnant.
According to the study, couples who ate fish twice a week or more had sex 22% more often than those who did not. It was also discovered that eating more fish made it easier for the couples (all of whom were trying to conceive) to become pregnant: 92% of couples who ate fish twice a week or more became pregnant, compared to 79% of couples who ate fish less frequently.
Of course, there's an obvious question here: wouldn't more sex increase the likelihood of pregnancy? Researchers wondered the same thing. Even after controlling for sex frequency, they discovered that eating more fish was associated with an increased risk of pregnancy.
The lead author, Audrey J. Gaskins, tells the New York Times that "seafood may help in sperm quality, ovulation, and other markers." "Perhaps these couples are spending more time together. "But if it's fish that brings them together, it's still casual, albeit via a behavioral rather than a biological pathway."
